category: Updates Coronavirus Information: Spring and Summer 2020 Graduates Commencement Update By Â鶹Æƽâ°æ On July 1, 2020 As Â鶹Æƽâ°æ continues to prepare for the upcoming Fall 2020 semester, the health and safety of the GWU community remain our top priorities. COVID-19 cases are now spiking again in our region and across the country, partially as a result of various re-opening activities. The University will, by necessity, follow the advice of state and local health authorities especially where large gatherings are concerned. Based on a workgroup recommendation to the Post-COVID Task Force, the University will move the Commencement ceremony for Spring and Summer 2020 graduates from August 1 to Friday, October 23. As part of our Homecoming activities, a commencement ceremony and celebration will now be the launch to a weekend filled with gratitude, community and excitement. In the meantime, we encourage you to wear face coverings when in public, wash your hands, and stay healthy!
