Gardner Webb University will host Fall Commencement Ceremonies on Friday, December 11, 2026, in the Lutz-Yelton Convocation Center.

When and where will Commencement be held?

Gardner Webb University will host Fall Commencement on Friday, December 11, 2026, in the Lutz-Yelton Convocation Center.

9:00 am: Participating students will have their name called to walk across the stage.

The Lutz-Yelton Convocation Center is located on our beautiful campus at 110 South Main St, Boiling Springs, NC 28017.

What time should I arrive for the ceremony?

All graduating students should report to BOST Gym between 8:00-8:15 am for check in. Doors will open at 8:00 and line up for the Processional will occur at approximately 8:30 a.m.

I have already been pre-approved to graduate, do I need to RSVP for the commencement ceremony?

Reservations for the Fall 2026 Commencement ceremony have closed.

Will I need commencement tickets for friends and family?

Tickets are not required.

Where should I park, and are there handicapped parking accommodations? Where should my family or friends park?

Directional signs and uniformed officers will be available to guide visitors. There will be a variety of parking options on throughout campus.

When will graduate candidates be hooded?

Graduate candidates will be hooded during the ceremony.

Where do I order academic regalia (hood, cap, tassel, gown)?

Jostens ordering deadline of October 30^th has passed. Please contact the GWU bookstore at [email protected] or 704-406-4273 for availability of academic regalia for the Fall Commencement ceremony.

For questions regarding existing Jostens orders, please contact their Customer Service team directly at 1-800-854-7464.

Kindly note that the University will implement updated regalia requirements (cap, gown, etc.) beginning with the Spring (May) 2027 Commencement. Individuals planning to participate in a Commencement ceremony after Fall (December) 2026 should contact [email protected] before purchasing regalia. Regalia for Fall (December) 2026 will remain unchanged.

When will undergraduate students receive their honor cords?

Undergraduate Latin honors recipients will be presented with cords at student checkin before the ceremony. Other cords (clubs, organizations, honor societies, etc.) should be provided to recipients prior to the ceremony.

Eligibility for undergraduate Latin honors can be found in the under Graduation Honors.

Do I wear academic regalia (hood, cap, tassel, gown) to the ceremony?

Yes, you should wear your academic regalia to the Commencement ceremony.

When will I get my diploma?

Your diploma will be shipped directly from Jostens to the mailing address provided on your graduation application. Please allow approximately 6-8 weeks for delivery.

Where can I view or order photos taken of me at commencement?

If I need access to an auxiliary aid during commencement, is that possible? And if so what is the process?

Once you have submitted your RSVP, you may register yourself or identify a member of your party that may need accommodations at the ceremony by completing the form below:

Commencement Accommodations

The University will make accommodations and auxiliary aids available to persons with disabilities attending officially sanctioned University events upon request ten (10) working days prior to the event. Please call 704-406-4270 or email聽[email protected]聽to make a request.

If I cannot attend commencement, can I watch the ceremony virtually?

The ceremony will be available on the 麻豆破解版 website, livestreamed on Facebook, and on YouTube.
